SmartAIM is an Identity and Access Management (IAM) solution, offering RBAC (Role based access control) as one of its core functionalities. Managing an identity’s authorisations within an organization within applications that SmartAIM doesn’t have direct access to (API, database etc.) could be facilitated through changes in TOPdesk requesting the manual handout of these authorisations.
SmartAIM Changes: Why this integration? What problem should it solve?
SmartAIM will trigger creating changes within TOPdesk when an Identity’s SOLL situation (SOLL meaning ‘an identity’s ideal authorisations within the given organisation’) alters. If a user requires more access, SmartAIM will create changes to start the process of handing out said authorisations within an organization using TOPdesk.
Alternatively SmartAIM can trigger based on more generic events, such as mutations in an employee’s employment status, departments etc.
