Description
The solution periodically retrieves data from a specified AFAS connector within the AFAS application.
It acts as a one-way integration. This can involve all kinds of data stored in AFAS, such as personal data, but also, for example, cost centers, building information, or data related to resources. It then transforms this data to a .csv file that is uploaded to TOPdesk. Next up the .csv file can then be used to create an Supporting files or Asset Management import with a mapping that can be configured as desired.

Benefits integration:
What is the outcome?
A csv file with data from AFAS to import within the TOPdesk environment.
For which departments is this beneficial?
It can be used by all clients who have AFAS within their software portfolio and want to import data from AFAS to their TOPdesk environment.
Who will benefit?
The supporting deparments and the endusers using TOPdesk will benefit because this integration makes sure that the information (personell, cost centers etc.) are up-to-date and can be used for the supporting processes.
Explanation integration:
How does it integrate with TOPdesk?
The solution uses a webhook that periodically calls the AFAS service within and ensures that the GET connector retrieves data and a new .csv file is generated with the data dat is defined by the client within the AFAS get connector.
Which triggers are there and which data is included?
The integration is triggered periodically and the interval of the webhook can be determined by the customer in the TOPdesk environment.
The data that is stored in the .CSV can be determined by the client, they define this themselves while setting up the GET-connector in their AFAS tenant.
What happens with the data?
The .csv file that is generated, is securely stored at the WebDAV of the TOPdesk environment.
Which fields will be synchronized?
The data that is stored in the .csv can be determined by the client, they define this themselves while setting up the GET-connector in their AFAS tenant.
Mapping:
The customer can then decide which data to map to the fields of desired cards in TOPdesk using the supporting files or asset management import within TOPdesk.
Consultancy:
TOPdesk consultancy needed:
2 hours of technical consultancy is needed to set up this integration with the client and needs to be sold accordingly.
Additional requirements:
The customer will have to create a get Connector in AFAS with the required data to import into TOPdesk.
The TOPdesk consultant will need the following information form customer of AFAS to set upo the integration:
– ConnectorID (report name in AFAS)
– Token
– Deelnemersnummer
